Harvard and Columbia educated scholar and author William Taubman has spent much of his career researching, analyzing, and writing about the Soviet Union. He frequently states that he was trained as a “Sovietologist." Taubman has become the official biographer of Nikita Khrushchev. His biography, Khrushchev: The Man and His Era, which has won several major literary awards including the 2004 Pulitzer Prize for biography. Bill and his wife Jane both teach at Amherst College located in Amherst, Massachusetts.
