Mother Goose on the Loose

“Mother Goose on the Loose”, is a 30-minute nursery rhyme program for newborns to three-year-olds. The class helps to strengthen babies' and toddler's foundation for literacy with rhymes, rhythm, repetition, story, and movement. Following the program we will have open play available.

From the Battlefront to the Homefront: Iowa Broadcasters Go to War

Iowa broadcast historian Jeff Stein, a documentary producer, tells of the challenges the reporters faced in doing their jobs relaying information to a waiting audience and, at times, reassuring them of the safety of Iowans serving thousands of miles away. See segments featuring vintage broadcasts and interviews from WWII to the first Gulf War: a 50-year span. Made possible by a grant from Humanities Iowa.
